The Fujifilm X-T4 is jammed packed with a tonne of great features that are great both for filmmakers & photographers. In our latest video, Josh takes the X-T4 out for a test drive, head to head with the Canon EOS R. There are a few new updates on the X-T4 in comparison to the X-T3 such as the new flip screen which would be great for vloggers, new removable SD card door, new battery which is larger than the one used for the X-T3, has IBMS, shoot 16fps continuous, faster autofocus, and is 30% quieter. In the box the X-T4 camera doesn’t come with a dedicated charger but a USB-C cable instead which charges pretty quick. The X-T4 also comes with a USB to headphone adaptor, meaning you’ll need this dongle to listen to the audio.
During the video and photo tests, Josh shares his findings on the X-T4 and discovers that it blows the Canon EOS R out of the water due to its video functions, long exposure and hand held IBMS performs better in comparison. Also, the colours and sharpness of the images taken with the X-T4 are noticeably more vibrant and clear. However, when changing the ISO or camera settings you’ll need to reposition the camera in your hand.
Overall, both the Canon EOS R and Fujifilm X-T4 are a great option for vloggers as they are at a similar price point. However, Josh is not a huge fan of the button designs on the X-T4 in comparison to the Canon. The X-T4 has definitely taken on a function over form approach, packing so many flexible options and features into a such a small camera.
