The innovators at DJI have released what we’ve wanted since the Spark announcement. Finally, a truly compact version of the DJI Mavic. The DJI Mavic Mini is the drone designed for the masses. Let’s have a look at what the Mavic Mini is all about.
Compact & Lightweight
Weighing at only 249 grams, the DJI Mavic Mini is almost 40 grams lighter than the DJI Spark. Furthermore, the foldable construction and compact size, allows you to carry it in your pocket, backpack or even a handbag.
High Quality Cinematic Video
The DJI Mavic Mini uses a 3 axis gimbal to produce cinematic, stable video. In addition, records video up to 2.7K at 30p, and FULL HD up to 60p. For most people, this will be enough to create good looking cinematic video. In addition, for those who are worried about signal strength, the Mavic Mini can transmit HD video up to 4KM range. Despite the high performance and long transmission range, the DJI Mavic Mini still holds battery life up to 30 minutes of fly time.
Creative And Fun
Most importantly, the DJI Mavic Mini comes loaded with creative features. Firstly one of the coolest functions is the QuickShots feature. QuickShots allows you to easily execute creative shots, and these shots include:
To really bump up the cinematic quality from the Mavic Mini, you can record in CineSmooth mode which slows down the Mavic Minis movements. In turn, increases precision and stability.
Lastly, for those with poor video editing backgrounds, the DJI Fly app allows you to easily create short videos/montages of your favourite moments.
